The safety strap connects the leash to the normal collar while the leash is connected to a secondary hook like a prong collar. This is in case the prong collar and leash become disconnected, so then you will be still connected to your dog.
 
The leash will normally connect to the prong collar, then the leash will also hook through the d-ring side of the safety strap while the other side will hook onto your normal collar or even a harness.
 
This strap is 3/4th inch thick
 
Safety straps are typically 5 inches long end to end, not including hardware. The pull straps are normally 10-12 inches. If you’d like any of them altered in length please let me know :)
 
Hardware is solid brass or nickel coated brass
